Baška Voda

Baška Voda is located 9 km northwest from Makarska and it is one of the oldest and most visited vacation destinations in Makarska Riviera. From the town of fisherman, sailors and craftsmen, Baška Voda has developed into a modern tourist area with all the characteristics of the small Mediterranean city. Today, it has around 2000 inhabitants. Besides the beautiful scenery, it offers numerous sports, gastronomical, recreational and cultural facilities, such as archeological findings dating from the 1st until the 7th century, the churches of Saint Lovre and Saint Nicolas; the examples of Dalmatian rural architecture, ethnographic and sea shell collection and so on.

In Baška Voda, there is a spring of fresh and clean water, which supplied all the other coastal areas. At the beginning of the 21st century, Baška Voda started to take the leading position as the one of the best tourist towns in the Adriatic, and it constantly receives the ‘’Blue Flower’’ award with the golden sign- the most prestigious touristic acknowledgment in Croatia.
